IT Graduate hacked government database and employed himself

Gauteng Police are looking for a youth who hacked into the Department of Health database and employed himself as a system administrator since June 2013.

A 27 year Tendani Mulaudzi, University of Limpopo Computer Science graduate managed to employ himself after hacking into the fire walls of Department of Health Human Resource ICT system. He never actually went to work but he was getting the salary every month with full benefits like Medical Aid, car allowance and housing allowance.

Tendani managed to build his parents a 14 room house and also bought brand new furniture for them. His mother said that Tendani was sending R7 000 every month and also taking good care of his siblings. For now the whereabouts of Tendani is unknown and police are on his trace.

“All we know is that our son is working in Gauteng” said his father. Tendani also managed to pay his NSFAS debt. His SARS records are also clean since he is complying and filing his returns.

At the moment the Department of Health didn’t want to make any comments on the matter. Minister of Health said efforts will be made to strengthen IT security at the department.
